Workspace 2.0 (Grundüberlegungen)

Das Dashboard für den Webtop ist die Summe der Apps, mit denen ich meinen täglichen Workflow regele.

Manche sind "Werkzeuge" (quasi-unsichtbar), manche sind "Arbeitsumgebungen" (ich schalte um auf "Dokument schreiben"),

manche sind "SozialeKnoten" (Ich als Schnittstelle von Konversationen), manche sind "MaterialDump" für Halbfertiges.

• Die Offizielle e-Mail wohnt im e-Mail Client (oder im Microsoft-Browser).
• Der MainBrowser öffnet drei Tabs: GTDtiddlywiki, GCalendar, Nowdothis. Wenn ich in einem Projekt bin, dann auch WPPrologue
• In der sichtbaren Firefox:Bookmarks-Leiste sind die etwa 12 XBookmarklets für den Workflow: Tumblr, SlimTimer, GDocs, iGoogle, BibMe, ...
• Dazu kommen die BrowserTools als PlugIns: delicious, GNotebook andere ClipTools, ScribeFire ... Die sind zum teil unten sichtbar, zum Teil erst auf Rechtsklick (wie TiddlySnip)
• Dazu kommt Skype
• Dazu kommen unten im Desktop-Fenster eigene WebApps wie KnowledgePulse, Thwirl, ... Die Frage ist natürlich, ob man das als Bubbles auslagern kann?
• Dazu kommen DesktopApps: außer den Browsern sind das LiveWriter, BabelPad, AbiWord oder OOWriter, Photoshop oder
• GoogleGears sollte es ermöglichen, offliine GDocs und Presentations zu verwenden

Das Ganze zerfällt also in

• WEB-BROWSER als Meta-Instrument (wo ich bewusst im offenen Web-Raum lese, suche, poste, mich darstelle, publiziere)
• PERIPHERE APPS wie Skype (Präsenz und Instant Kommunikation)
• eMAIL (mein Schriftverkehr), un das kann zerfallen in DESKMAIL und WEBMAIL
• WORKSPACE-TOOLS (Arbeit an dynamischen Inhalten, sollten sich synchronisieren, idiosynkratisch oder kollaborativ)
• GTD-TOOLS: GTDtiddlywiki, OpenTimer, Nowdothis, GCalendar, faktisch auch eMail
• BASTEL-TOOLS (die ich nur für mich verwende, so wie Photoshop)

Kern-Größen sind dann

• DAS WEB (als Wissensraum, dafür nehme ich den Browser her)
• DIE GRUPPE (Präsenz und Instant Kommunikation)
• DER BRIEF (der formelle schriftliche Anstoß, der zugleich für mich Adressaten archivierbar ist)
• GTD (meine Produktivitäts-Tools: Kalender, Listen GTD)
• DER WORKSPACE (das Projekt, ob allein oder kollaborativ, sollte ins Web verlegt werden, GoogleGears)

       - online - online

       - offline - online (LiveWriter, GoogleGears)

• offline: MEIN BASTELTISCH (die ich nur für mich verwende, so wie Photoshop)
• offline: DAS ARCHIV (für die meisten: eMail Inbox)

Dann benutze ich das mal, um das Aussage-Ereignis Projekt hier online zu schreiben.

Ich denke mir den Workflow so:

Texte schreiben in DarkRoom.

.txt - datei öffnen mit Firefox.

Snips in TiddlySnip posten. da dann die links zu den längeren wiki-texten dazu.

Zugleich einzelne längere Teile hier als Wiki-hypertexte.

This is an experiment. I'm still trying to find a real working Web 2.0 environment.

the plan is now to use this site for writing a book.

with the working title "micromedia", it should basically try to give an overview on the "Web 2.0" from the standpoint of humanities-informed criticism.

the ide now is to take web 2.0 apps and services and to discuss the underlying concept of "world", "identity" and so on. the outline (as a Table of Contents) is here
